I want to be the owner of folder A in public folder (not created by me) so I
go to System Manager -> Folders -> Public Folders -> right click folder A and
properties -> security tab -> add my name and select full control -> restart
Information Store. After that I accessed folder A through outlook 2003 and
check the permission, I realized that my name is not in it. When I get back
to the folder A in System Manager, my name is there with "owner" permission.
Why will this happen? Anyone can help?

Hi,

You need to add yourself as the owner on the client permissions tab.
